To participate in MentorMatch, you’ll complete an application. Before you apply, please make sure the items below are in place.

Application requirements
- Be a registered member of the HELLO Community.
- Complete your HELLO Community profile with:
- Your first and last name
- Your picture
- Your location
- Your current or most recent higher education leadership position
- The URL of your most recent employer
- Contact information (email, phone, video conferencing)
- Provide contact information so mentoring partners can connect. You may restrict access to Friends only; once you establish a mentoring partnership, you can designate your partner as a Friend.
- Agree to the program’s confidentiality requirements (stated on the application form).
- Complete the MentorMatch application form (background, professional information, and mentoring preferences).
Prepare these items before you apply
The application must be completed in one sitting. Preparing the following in advance will make the process easier:
- A brief leadership philosophy statement
- What you hope to gain from MentorMatch
- (If you plan to mentor) why you believe you would be an effective mentor
Acceptance is based on completeness and thoughtfulness, because this information:
- Is critical for mentor / co-mentor / mentee matching
- Demonstrates your level of interest and investment in the program
After you submit
Applications are typically reviewed within a few business days. You’ll receive the decision by email.
If admitted, MentorMatch features will appear under the MentorMatch menu item. If your application is not approved, you may revise and strengthen your HELLO Community profile and/or your MentorMatch profile, then resubmit for reconsideration.
