Conduct a simple poll

Polls are quick, single-page surveys that can be attached to a forum topic and assigned to forum members.

To create a poll:

  1. Open an existing forum or start a new one within a group.
  2. Create a new topic and check the box to add an associated poll.
  3. Enter your poll title and question(s), then choose who is allowed to respond.
  4. Save the topic/poll and monitor responses as they come in.

Conduct a more extensive survey

HELLO does not currently support complex, multi-page surveys directly within the community. For more extensive surveys, we recommend using Google Forms (free).

  1. Create your survey in Google Forms.
  2. Click Send, choose the link option, and copy the survey URL.
  3. Share the link by adding it to the Useful Sites page, posting it in a forum topic, or including it in a collaborative document within HELLO.
  4. Notify the members you’d like to respond and invite them to complete your survey.
