DESCRIPTION:AASCU’s Summer Council of Presidents programming is designed to provide strategies and tools to help presidents and chancellors successfully lead change\, drive innovation and create a sustainable future. Attendance is limited to current\npresidents and chancellors of member institutions\, family members and guests. \nSpeakers: \nJohn O’Brien\, President & CEO at EDUCAUSE will speak and present an interactive presentation on “Everything a President Needs to Know About Technology”. \nJeffrey J. Selingo has written about higher education for two decades. He is the author of three books\, a contributing writer at the Washington Post and The Atlantic\, and a professor of practice and special advisor at Arizona State University. He is also a visiting scholar at Georgia Tech’s Center for 21st Century Universities. \nSpecial Program and Fees\nSustaining the Vision: Second and Third-Year Presidents Workshop\nJune 26th – $250 \nExperienced Presidents Retreat\nJune 26th and June 27th – $325 \nAASCU Women Presidents Program\nJune 27th – $175 \nRegistration Fees for the 2019 Summer Council of Presidents\n(Includes all sessions\, Thursday opening reception\, Friday and Saturday lunches\, breakfasts\, evening reception and breaks.) \n“Registration is not complete until payment is received. If payment is not received prior to arrival at the meeting\, a check or credit card is required to complete the registration transaction.” \nThe special conference rate is $219 for a single/double room plus 13.15% state and local taxes (current tax rate may change).\nTo obtain this rate\, you must book your room by Wednesday\, June 5\, 2019. \nReserve accommodations early\, well before June 5when rooms are released. After June 5\, if accommodations are available\, they will be at a higher rate. Once AASCU’s conference rate rooms are filled\, alternative overflow rooms will be listed on A \nYou can make reservations online if your stay is in the June 24 to July 2 window of the room block.\nHowever\, if you wish to book before or after AASCU’s room block\, prefer to upgrade your room type at a higher rate\, or if your online reservation fails (rooms may be sold out on one of your preferred nights)\, please call the hotel reservations office for assistance 1-888-238-4218. \nA deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold the reservation and shall be applied to the first night of the reserved stay. The deposit is refundable if notice is received at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. Should you fail to show up or notify the hotel of cancellation\, the hotel may retain the deposit. \nEarly Departure Fee: An early departure fee of one night’s stay and tax will apply if a attendee checks out prior to the confirmed checkout date and without providing notice upon check in. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay. \nIndicate any disability-related requirements or special preferences when making your reservation. The Hilton Minneapolis reservations department will work to accommodate your requests. \n*Cancellation & Refund Policy:\nCancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a cancellation fee if received after 5 p.m. Eastern Time\, Monday\, June 10\, 2019. Cancellations received prior to this will receive a full refund. Refunds will be issued within 45 days of the meeting’s conclusion. Payments made online will be refunded back to the credit card; all other refunds will be issued via check. Please note\, due to pre-program preparations\, cancellations received after 5 p.m. EST on June 10\, 2019\, including no-shows\, * are not eligible for refunds (including optional events.) No-show is a registrant who does not attend the meeting and has not canceled in writing.
