Our founder, former statistics professor Dr. James Hawkes, comes from a rural southern Virginia farming community where people were held to their word, and following through was the expectation. This principle remains one of the central values of our company today.
Starting in 1979 as an application software programming company, Hawkes Learning quickly moved into the field of mathematical software and educational publishing in 1985 and has held strong as a leader in the industry. The company has since expanded into new disciplines.
