Ad Astra
Tom Shaver launched Ad Astra in 1996, he understood that space management was both critically important and incredibly complex. However, measuring space utilization alone wasn’t enough. First, it was clear that measurement didn’t improve utilization; it simply confirmed the need to improve. Second, space was only part of the equation. Scheduling needed to be embraced as a way to not only allocate space, but also faculty resources; to deliver instruction, and to enable students to graduate on time. Shaver has led Ad Astra with this insight over the last 20 years, developing a suite of solutions designed to optimize space allocation and resource capacity within the scheduling process.
Ad Astra has collaborated with more than 1,000 higher education campuses and state systems that prioritize the stewardship of instructional resources and improved student outcomes.
